Privacy Policy for Floating Image
Last Updated: October 26, 2023
DBMD we operates the Floating Image mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Service, we want to be clear about what information Floating Image handles.
Information You Provide and Data Stored Locally:
- Image Selection: The core functionality of Floating Image involves you selecting PNG images from your device's local storage. These images are processed by the application to be displayed as floating overlays.
-
Popup Configuration Data: To manage your floating images, the app stores information locally on your device. This includes:
- The path or URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) to the selected images on your device.
- Optional names you assign to your popups.
- The enabled/disabled state (on/off) of each popup.
- Position and size settings for the floating images, if these features are implemented and settings are saved.
This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You have full control to add or delete these image references and their configurations within the app.
Permissions:
- Read External Storage (or specific media access permissions on newer Android versions): This permission is required to allow you to select images from your device's storage to be used as floating overlays. The app only accesses files you explicitly choose.
- Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): This permission is essential for the core functionality of the Service, which is to display images as floating windows on top of other applications. This permission allows the app to draw the selected image on the screen.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, location, or device identifiers for tracking or advertising purposes through the Floating Image application.
Use of Data
Floating Image uses the collected data (image paths and configurations stored locally) for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the core functionality of the Service (displaying your selected images as floating overlays).
- To allow you to manage and customize your list of floating images.
- To enable features such as moving, resizing, and closing the floating images.
Data Storage and Security
The information related to your image selections and popup configurations is stored locally on your device within the application's private storage. We take reasonable precautions to protect the integrity of this locally stored data, but please be aware that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for the security of your own device.
Since no personal data is transmitted to or stored on our servers, the risk associated with data breaches on our end is minimized.
Service Providers
We do not currently employ third-party companies or individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
Links to Other Sites
Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us (for example, if you include a link to a help page or your website). If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers (though in the case of Floating Image, data is stored locally, so this would involve guiding the user to clear app data).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page within the application or on our app store listing.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
